Gurmandir Chairman

SHER MOTWANI
Sher a Professional Engineer and a manufacturing business owner residing in Mississauga, Ontario. He has been the longest-serving member (20 years) on the Gur Mandir Board. It was in his factory where our Gur Mandir took roots and it operated there for 4 1/2 years without incurring any costs which were borne by Sher. Under his leadership and initiative, the Mandir was built in 2005 and made loan and mortgage-free in 2015. A major achievement for Sher in helping Sindhi’s of Toronto build our very own Gur Mandir.

Gurmandir Treasurer

MANOJ MEHTA
I am humbled to be volunteering at the GurMandir – to work with and give back to the community and comfort one’s inner self. We Sindhis are a small community in this part of the world and GurMandir is that land that we can set our feet upon and proudly call our very own. I have over 15 years’ experience in banking with a portfolio ranging from product management to finance where I have been responsible for key initiatives and projects. Currently I am a consultant to the restaurant industry. I enjoy organizing events and get-togethers – getting into the nitty gritty of planning and watching it all come together. My interests include reading on the topic of health and diet, particularly the emerging science of nutrition that is challenging conventional theories. I like all things trivia - am an avid Jeopardy fan and try to take time out to watch every episode. On a personal front, I am married, with two grown up children and live in Mississauga. .
